Ergonomics - summer

FaVU-ERG-LAcad. year: 2010/2011

Ergonomics is a scientific multi-disciplinary application discipline investigating a person during a working process by using systemic approach. A systemic analysis and the synthesis of factors of the investigated subject will be carried out. The biggest emphasis will be put on the human factor - i. e. on a human person as a realizer and user of all cultural aterfacts. Therefore in the second part of the course the theoretic and practical anthropological standardization will be carried out (in other words: human person is a measure for all things).

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students learn to know the human being as a target user of design products in all his/her aspects: in the aspect of spirit, soul and body. They will be able to use a number of facts related to the human being for the purpose of correct, nice and sophisticated designing, during which they will respect both human potential and limitations.

10) Work with anthropometric data in various databases.
11) Satisfaction of ninety per cent of population, including theoretic calculation.
12) Continuation of the creation of typal standard from further constructional anthropometric dimensions.
13) Further examples of the application of anthropometric standardization for egronomic utilization in the construction of work places.

Aims

To provide students with the necessary minimum of knowledge about aspects and relations inside the general system which explores the human being during the working process. The emphasis is put on the application: students should be able to distinguish crucial points in the problem situation, analyze them qualitatively and quantitatively, and design practical systemic adjustments which would improve this situation from the viewpoint of the human being so that the whole system can effectively work in a long run.
