Water Supply Systems

The subject acquaints students with history of water supply in the Czech Republic and abroad. Development from simple water supply to creation of group water works and water supply systems with many objects. Engineering economy performance indicators of water supply systems, systems balance evaluation, security of service and systems reliability. Rules for design of water supply systems and their elements. Methods of operation, central dispatching centres – information and control systems, SCADA. Performance of the most significant water supply systems in the Czech Republic.
