Ethics in Business

Development of ethics in philosophy, new ethic conceptions, ethics and morality, social event and ethics, label, relations among ethics, economic and enterprise, economic pragmatism, utilitarism, liberalism, introduce to management ethics, manager and ethics, firm strategy and ethics, ethics in firm philosophy, ethics in firm culture.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Knowledge of ethic principles and their circumstances with management. Understanding of human change of firm culture, manager´s personality and firm strategy.

Prerequisites

The subject extends the knowledge gained in the course of secondary education,therefore no other technical is required.

Course curriculum

1. Development of ethics in philosophy, historical survey.
2. Ethic´s concepts, traditional and modern conception.
3. Metamorphosis of relations of ethics and enterprise. Pozitivism, existencialism, materialism.
4. Firm culture and identity, importance of ethics in management.
5. Importance of ethics, psychology and sociology for economic thinking.
6. Relations among ethics, economic and enterprise.
7. Discourses in ethics: Economic pragmatism, utilitarism, liberalism, neoliberalism.
8. Ethics of management and enterprise, substance and importance.
9. Manager and ethics - perspectives and changes.
10. Firm strategy and ethics, ethics as a strategy?
11. Philosophic´s aspects of ethics, philosophy of enterprise at present.
12. Modernism and postmodernism in ethics, firm strategy.
13. Selfempirical exercise in the ethics area and management.
