Special Field Trip

FAST-CP04Acad. year: 2009/2010

Field trips are arranged – in dependence on number of students – either as a separate action of water service municipality, or as a collective action of water management specialization. Except of a leader of the field trip further pedagogues participate, in order to provide an interpretation of a specialized expert. The filed trip is aimed to the nearest adjoining states – Austria, Slovakia, Hungary or Poland. Important water reservoirs, sewage treatment plants, swimming-pool premises, modern river basin regulations, tanks and ameliorative constructions are selected. Other objects are plants producing water management products.

Hydraulics and hydrology, Operation Research, Engineering networks, chemistry and water technology, design of civil constructions, Sewerage Systems, Chemistry and Water Technology, Treatment of waste water

Course curriculum

Field trips to water management works: dams and river dams, ponds, drinking water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, distribution reservoirs, sewer networks etc.

Aims

Targets of special weekly excursion is enlargement theoretic knowledge in field of Municipal water management. It is going above all about visits of water managements objects, firms and plants with specialized interpretation of specialists and workers applied in a given water management branch.
