Insulation Materials

FAST-BJ07Acad. year: 2009/2010

The introduction is formed by the problematic of building acoustics and insulation. The application of insulation in a building object is systematically solved, especially from the building-insulation and building-acoustic point of view and in relation to moisture regime, under respect for the specific properties of individual types of building structures and objects. In the course a description of insulation roofing manufacturing technology is given. This involves insulation against moisture and water on the base of asphalt, membrane and paintings including the basic laboratory-testing methods. Further the technological principles of paintings application and mounting are discussed considering the special properties of different insulation materials. The theory of moisture and heat propagation is built up on thermodynamic principles of reversible and irreversible processes. The area of insulation materials includes the insulation and measures against radon as well. The exercises have a laboratory, calculation and partly even a projecting character.
