Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student will learn the problems of the course and will get under controll the course aims, within the meaning of obtaining knowledge and skills in the field of special topics of design and realization of metal and timber structures, concretized in the course schedule.

1. Basic standards of the design of the steel and timber structures.
2. Members and parts of steel and timber structures, disposition.
3. Basic types of the supporting steel structures of the civil buildings and industrial halls.
4. Basic types of the timber structures.
5. Manufacturing and assembling connection of the steel structures.
6. Connections of members and parts of the timber structures.
7. Project documentation, types, technical report, static design.
8. Project drawings
9. Manufacturing drawings, specification of the material.
10. Bases of the automatization of the design of steel and timber structures.
11. Manufacturing and assembly of the steel and timber structures.
12. Solution of the particular problems within the bachelor’s project.
13. Project documentation of the bachelor’s project, examples of the realized steel and timber structures.
