Course detail
Energy evaluation of the buildings
FAST-DH75Acad. year: 2009/2010
The aim of this subject is to obtain the knowledge of low energy and solar building design using renewables. The course involves basic theory and methods of calculations of solar radiation and solar gains in buildings. Energy and thermal properties of opaque building materials, optical and energy properties of transparent materials from plastic and glass components in building envelopes. Solar passive and active systems and possibilities of heat conservation of solar energy in buildings. Creation of multi-zone thermo-dynamic models of buildings with the application numerical and simulation methods for energy and thermal evaluation of buildings for boundary conditions and hourly data considering dynamics of climate. Numerical methods of simplifying calculation of thermal and energy balance in buildings considering daily and monthly values of climate data.
