Construction-technological designing ( R)

The course provides a comprehensive survey of the importance of the construction-technological preparation for a rational and economical construction realization. Necessity of this activity, its division and links are analysed and substantiated. Methodology of elaboration of building-technology plans in the period of construction investment preparation and in the period of its production preparation, i.e. in the period starting with the contract acceptance into the company´s production program. Explanation of the background documents creation for securing of an optimum continuous production progress, for its efficient management and monitoring of the site operation to secure its profitability.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The students will master the objective of the Construction Technology Planning (R )course, they become acquainted with fundamentals of the construction technology preparation and they learn elaboration of the respective basic documents.

Prerequisites

The students are required to have a basic knowledge of structural design (engineering constructions) and basic knowledge of the construction economy. The topic dealt with links also to the knowledge of technology of partial construction processes and construction realization.

Course curriculum

1.An overview on the construction pre-production and production preparation. Definitions, meanings and systems of the building-technological designing. Material and time structure and relations with other the building company activities.
2.Building-technology study of the contractor in the course of tender proceeding. Theory and methodology of the pilot project of main technology phases of construction and preliminary selection of the main machinery.
3.Basic conception of the site operation and time schedule and financial plan of construction plan.
4.Production preparation for gaining the contract. The fundamentals and methodology of processing of production costs for the construction building units.
5.Construction time scheduling.
6.Method of the building technology network chart, terms for assembly of the construction realization model.
7.Principles and methodology of the operative plan of the building realization and its impact on the construction process management.
8.Manners of resources balance needed for the construction, contracting of external subcontractors and cooperation.
9.Methodology of the site plant planning as a production plant for the construction realization, modelling of the building operations area.
10.Planning principles and assessment of the main lifting equipment.
11.Technology standards and procedures for new and unusual production processes.
12.Application of the computer aided construction preparation and realization process.
13.Optimization of the building-technology plan according to the resource limits, automated generation of control and inspection plans. Aggregation production calculation data and production invoice, operational records keeping and financial site diary.

Aims

The objective of course is to make the students acquainted with the principles of building- technological preparation and to learn them to elaborate its basic documentation. The students obtain knowledge in the area of building-technological planning, resulting in the knowledge how to elaborate the documents for the construction preparation and realization especially from the point of view of the building contractor.
