Original title in Czech: Realizace stavebFASTAbbreviation: RAcad. year: 2009/2010
Programme: Civil Engineering
Length of Study: 1.5 years
Profile
To educate specialists who are capable of immediate qualified employment in the area of execution of buildings, to create the prerequisites for a substantial reduction in the adaptation period of the graduate at any given building company, and to educate specialists for positions in higher management at a building company. Graduates of this course are professionally prepared - both theoretically and practically - for the independent and creative performance of work across the whole range of the field of specialization studied. After graduation, they can continue with further studies in the doctoral study programme, and after gaining the set length of experience, they can obtain engineering authorisation in some of the authorised fields of the Czech Chamber of Authorised Engineers and Technicians Active in Construction. The graduates of this master's programme can find employment across the whole field of civil engineering. Their specialization provides them with a higher degree of knowledge of the issues regarding investment in the building industry and the technological preparation of buildings, building project management, management of the execution of buildings and in the state building administration. Graduates can find employment mainly as managers of large construction sites (e.g. head site managers), managers in various operational departments of the management of construction firms, as building and technological designers, responsible officials in the state building administration (building offices, state building supervision), as workers involved in the preparation of building investment projects, as private businesspeople in the building industry, workers in the fields of quality control in construction, the building environment, or health and safety protection at work.
