Measurement in electroengineering

Classification of measurement instruments for electrical quantities. Uncertainties. Principles of correct measure. Analogue measurement devices. Voltage, current, frequency, phase, power, modulation, resistance, capacitance and resonant frequency measurement. Testers. Generators. Automatization in measurement. Magnetic and non-electrical measurements, sensors, dynamic interferometry and reflectometry.

Experience and knowledge of work of measuring instruments for electric and non electric measurement.

The subject knowledge on the secondary school level is required.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Total number of points 100, including 2 x 5 points in two written tests in laboratory exercises and 10 points in credit test. All laboratory measurements are obligatory - to obtain credit it is necessary to measure all of laboratory exercises.
Requirements for completion of a course are: to gain credit and to perform an exam. Minimal necessary achieved total mark is 50 points.

To obtain knowledge about principles, how to use and application of basic measurement instruments.
