Quality management and metrology

Present accesses to ensuring of quality of products and services. Meaning of quality in economy and reasons of system access to its control. Role of ISO, EN and ČSN standards in control system. Summary of modern accesses to ensuring of quality according to recommendations of TQM. State interventions to system of quality control, standardization, metrology and testing.

Course curriculum

1. Meaning and conception of quality in the Czech Republic and in abroad, basic features.
2. Accesses to ensuring of quality of products and services.
3. State legislative interventions to quality control system - standardization, metrology and testing.
4. Technical requirements for products. Law and foods. Quality and protection of customer.
5. Role of check authorities in Czech market. Accreditation of testing laboratories and certification bodies.
6. Quality ensuring in marketing, in pre-production preparation, in supplying, in production and its controlling. Quality protection after production.
7. Quality verification. Metrological ensuring of quality. Quality and logistics.
8. Basic features of TQM (Total Quality Management), summary of modern accesses according to TQM recommendations.
9. Role of ISO, EN and ČSN standards in control systems, ISO 9000 access against TQM access.
10. Tools for quality regulation in EU. Information system of EU demands and its using in the Czech Republic.
11. Improving as basic principle of quality management. Methodology of improving. Tools of management and quality control.
12. Methods and techniques of quality optimization and failure prevention.
13. Quality as factor of company success.

Meaning and conception of quality. Quality policy and objectives. Understanding, applying and observing of quality policy. Responsibility of management.
Quality system creation. Summary of accesses to quality. Procedures of quality system creation. Fulfilling of quality requirements. Quality factor of company success.
Control of documentation and data. Authorizing and publishing of documentation and data. Changing of documentation and data.
Role of check authorities on market in the Czech Republic. Accreditation of testing laboratories and certification bodies. State of quality system control in the Czech Republic and in EU.
Identification and traceability of product according to ČSN, ISO and EN series standards. Quality management. Relationship between ISO and TQM. Product technical requirements.
Control of operation. Identification and planning of production process, installation and service of product.
Checking and testing. Input, inter-operational and output checking and testing. Check and test records. Conformity and check assessment of product.
Control of checking, measuring and testing device. Control, calibration and maintenance of checking, measuring and testing device. Uncertainty of measurement. Demand competence of measurement. Reference samples.
Control of different product. Inspection of different product. Corrective and preventative arrangements.
