Basic terms.
Equivalent networks replacing the power system (PS) elements and their parameters.
Mathematical modelling of the PS operation in stabilized operation state.
Selected methods of stabilized state solution in confined parts of the PS.
Power energy losses.
Parallel and serial compensation.
Factors of power supply quality.
Operational and momentary temperature rise of outdoor overhead and cable power lines.
Basic economical considerations related to the operation and the selection of power line parameters and the transformers.
Short circuit currents and their impact on the PS elements.
Mathematical modelling of PS when calculating the characteristic values of short circuit currents for symmetrical failures.

Conductor cross-section dimensioning in simple-type power lines by using the voltage drops and power losses.
Power transformer loading aimed at their cost-effective operation.
