Elements of semiconductor converters. Analysis and basis of function of electric energy converters: rectifiers, inverters, DC and AC convertersů. Operating modes of inverters, analysis of output values, control and dimensioning with respect to their applications for electrical drives. Electromagnetic compatibility. Active rectifiers, principle of operation and application. Active filters. Switched DC converters.

Rectifiers. Classification, basic terms. Analysis of output values.
Higher harmonics of output values.
Commutation of rectifiers and its consequences in rectifier or inverter mode.
Reversible rectifiers. Dimensioning of rectifiers and design of filtering coil.
Electromagnetic compatibility. Pulse controlled rectifiers. Active filters.
AC voltage inverters. Principle, classification and application.
Inverters. Principle, classification and application.
Control of output voltage.
DC converters. Analysis of output values. Application.
Switched DC converters.
Transistor switch as a basic construction element. Function and parameters of a exciting circuit.
