Safety of Work on Machine Tools, Forming Machines and Industrial Robots

FSI-GB0Acad. year: 2010/2011

The course familiarises students with the safety of machinery, especially with ensuring the safety in the field of design and operation of machine tools, forming machines, industrial robots and manipulators. The course presents basic legal regulations, i.e. Act No. 22/1997 on technical requirements for products. Also dealt with are basic Czech standards in the relation to the European standards system, i.e. ČSN EN ISO 12100 Safety of Machinery – Basic concepts, general principles for design. The course presents internal safety and operation guidelines of the major machine tools users. The aim of the course is to inform students about the strict machine safety requirements in the process of the machine design, operation and disposal. The students should realise the essential relation between the machine design knowledge and requirements of safety standards and legal regulations.
