Abstract:Bachelor's thesis deals with basic principles of Light-Emitting Diodes, their supplying, characterization of these light sources in relation to application in luminaires, possibilities of application in standard practice and economical contribution of LED technology. It's mainly drawn from internet sources to this topic because manufacturers and distributors of lighting technology like Osram, Siteco, Philips, Bergquist, Cree, LEDfield and other companies provide a lot of catalogs with technical parameters and examples of applications on their webs.
