PhD study of study branch Civil Engineering Management is focused on the scientific training, the methodology of the scientific work and on the development of knowledge in the area of the real investments, the project management, the space economics, the value analysis in construction, the quality management, the marketing management and the risk management. The scientific training of this study branch is based on the mastering of initial theoretical disciplines of the scientific base and theoretical disciplines of the appropriate orientation. The graduate of the PhD study of the study branch Civil Engineering Management is prepared for the asserting himself in the development and scientific activity in the area of appropriate orientation of the study branch and also for the solving of difficult and unusual problems connected with the cost management, the management of the time and the value of investment construction projects and globally with the structural firm's management. The continuous and active scientific activity is also the supposition of the possible staying of graduates as academic employees at universities.

Student has to describe modern methods of enterprise performance measurement. The objective of thesis is to design the system of performance measurement in construction company using Key Performance Indicators. The aim of proposed system utilization is to ensure continuous performance improvement in the company.

Cost overruns, time overruns and problems with the quality of delivery are connected with many construction tenders. The aim of this thesis is to desing suitable system of ex-post evaluation of construction tenders, demostrate aplicability of the system on case studies and evaluate its effect on performance improvement.
The aim of the dissertation is to evaluate complexly the importance of special technologies and measures used for friendly buildings. Using the available data from buildings and facilities operated for many years (data including energy, water and indoor and water balance of green roofs etc.) The aim of this work is to introduce and evaluate the measures applied for the mitigation of climate change within the facility management of friendly buildings.

Student has to describe methods of Goodwill assessment which is considered to be an integral part of the company value and its assets. The objective of thesis is to desing the system of goodwill assessment in the construction company with accent to its marketing essence. The purpose of the proposed topic is to unify the practices used for the goodwill assessment.
The aim of the dissertation is to determine socio-economic benefits of development projects for regional development. As part of the work is done sort of development projects according to relevant criteria, analysis and subsequently creating a systematic procedure for the evaluation examined contribution. The output of the work should answer the research question, with what intensity the different types of development projects on the territory development operate.

The topic is based on the examination of IFRS and its implementation in the Czech environment of construction companies. It will set the specifics of accounting and holding of the financial statements according to Czech accounting regulations and the setting of a general scheme for the transfer of specific accounting operations, including reporting to IFRS. The topic will also focus on identifying the impacts of the implementation of IFRS on the Czech environment in the construction sector.

The topic of doctoral thesis is focused on the economic and risk evaluation of projects of the brownfields revitalization. Based on the detailed literature review within this area the evaluation of the ways of the projection of partial impacts of these projects into their economic and risk evaluation and the optimized proposal of the process of the economic and risk evaluation of this type of projects will be carried out. Results will be verified on the case study.

The topic is focused on the current development in the ways of determining the purchase price of buildings and their innovation. This is related to the increasing demands for faster and more efficient ways of cost estimating of buildings, especially in the pre-investment and investment phase of the building's life cycle. The aim of the thesis is to propose a way of cot estimating the bid price of a building with a focus on parametric cost estimating.
