PhD study of study branch Civil Engineering Management is focused on the scientific training, the methodology of the scientific work and on the development of knowledge in the area of the real investments, the project management, the space economics, the value analysis in construction, the quality management, the marketing management and the risk management. The scientific training of this study branch is based on the mastering of initial theoretical disciplines of the scientific base and theoretical disciplines of the appropriate orientation. The graduate of the PhD study of the study branch Civil Engineering Management is prepared for the asserting himself in the development and scientific activity in the area of appropriate orientation of the study branch and also for the solving of difficult and unusual problems connected with the cost management, the management of the time and the value of investment construction projects and globally with the structural firm's management. The continuous and active scientific activity is also the supposition of the possible staying of graduates as academic employees at universities.

The aim of the thesis is to investigate the costs, profits and other effects of innovations within the construction industry. First, to critically define and specify the area of investigation with the assumption of a higher potential for innovative profit. Accordingly, focus the work on exploring the innovation strategy of the construction company, or focus on innovation within the operational phase of the construction work (facility management), or focus on innovation related to intellectual property for and in the construction industry.

Student has to describe modern methods of enterprise performance measurement. The objective of thesis is to design the system of performance measurement in construction company using Key Performance Indicators. The aim of proposed system utilization is to ensure continuous performance improvement in the company.

Cost overruns, time overruns and problems with the quality of delivery are connected with many construction tenders. The aim of this thesis is to desing suitable system of ex-post evaluation of construction tenders, demostrate aplicability of the system on case studies and evaluate its effect on performance improvement achieved on future tenders.
The aim of the dissertation thesis is to model water and sewage prices including the tecnoeconomic risks of water management companies. Risks will be identified, evaluated and measures taken to reduce them. Subsequently, the impact of the risks of water management companies on the determination of water and sewage rates will be shown.

The aim of the dissertation will be to investigate the change of the value of water management companies given by the valuation of balance sheet items. During the preparation of the dissertation, individual methodological steps for possible valuation of assets and liabilities and their interconnection into the valuation resources will be compiled.

The research work will be focused on the research of individual types of development projects (industrial, commercial, service and residential properties, multifunctional buildings, logistics centres, etc.) in the designed area with the aim to determine the methodology for determining their contribution to regional development. The output of the work should answer the research question how to quantify the impacts that the individual types of development projects bring to the territory.

Student has to analyse and model the structure and flow of technical-economic information in the context of the construction object life cycle. The aim of the thesis will be the desigh of the system that would enable the availability and continuous updating of data concerning the life cycle of construction objects.
The topic of doctoral thesis is focused on the economic and risk evaluation of large scale projects in the transport infrastructure. Based on the detailed present state analysis the evaluation of the ways of the projection of partial impacts of these projects into their economic evaluation and the proposal of potential changes or completion will be carried out. Results will be verified on the case study.
