Profile
Information security study branch is focused on the area of information and communication technologies (ICT). Students will explore technical aspects of ICT security as well as topics from law and economy connected to ICT security.
Key learning outcomes
The graduates will have necessary theoretical knowledge of mathematics, computer science, cryptography, economy and law, particularly of those areas connected with the design, operation and administration of information and communication systems. In the higher grades, the theoretical knowledge is extended by practical courses focused on gaining skills necessary for the operation of modern information technologies. The graduates will be able to apply this knowledge with respect to actual state of legislation and economic aspects of security products developed. The complex approach covering all aspects of modern information security makes it possible to provide students with education necessary not only for purely technical positions, but also for management and economical positions. The development of students’ language skills is also a strong priority, in particular the professional English is taught.

The Information security branch graduate has deep knowledge of mathematics, computer science, cryptography, economics and law. These fields are fundamental for the design, operation and administration of information and communication systems. Students will gain practical skills of operation of modern information technologies and will be able to apply this knowledge with respect to actual state of legislation and economic aspects of security products developed. Graduates will have the opportunity to work in both technical and management/economic job positions.

The condition for admitting is a completed secondary education.
