The aim of the three-year bachelor's Water Management and Water Structures study specialization is the mastering of a comprehensive base of essential theoretical knowledge and general technical knowledge from the whole area of civil engineering. The theoretical foundation for the course is the natural sciences, mainly the physical/mathematical disciplines, extended in the field of hydraulics and hydrology. In the third year of the course, further specialised subjects are gradually introduced which focus on issues of municipal water management, landscape water management and water structures. Other subjects include Waste Management, Chemistry and Technology of Water. Students show their ability to work independently and professionally on a project. Further specialization is made possible through a choice of elective subjects in the last semester and the students' expert knowledge is expanded by completion of a bachelor's thesis. The aim of this study programme is to provide a complex understanding of water management and water structures not only in the Czech Republic but also in the EU.
