Key learning outcomes

The curriculum is based on the complex of applied physical chemistry disciplines including e.g. also photochemistry, plasma chemistry and rheology. The above overall knowledge is extended in specialized courses with accent on main disciplines of consumer chemistry industry: application of colloid chemistry, special biopolymer and polymer materials. The application of theoretical knowledge is taught in courses discussing several consumer chemistry technologies: paper, print and cellulose technology, textile, surface treatment, and photography.

Occupational profiles of graduates with examples

The graduates are supposed to work in production of fine chemicals such as cosmetic industry; housing and household chemistry; manufacture of agricultural, medical, and curative preparations; in printing and image processing industries and image communication; in paper industry; in manufacture of electrotechnical materials; in preparation of construction materials; in production of paints and lacquers; in surface treatment industry; in textile industry; in processing and application of biomaterials; in production of special and final polymers, and technical textiles etc. They can hold positions in management and positions in research and development in all the above industries.

The graduates may continue in a doctoral study programme.
