How would you choose a place to live in, other than your home country? I asked a Russian who chose the Czech Republic, why she chose it. She replied, “they have the best beer in the world and the weather is warmer than in Russia”. Now I am a non-alcoholic south Asian and my home country has a tropical monsoon climate. Still, if I choose my second home, I would love to stay in the Czech Republic. Let me explain to you the reasons behind it.
First, I would consider the thriving economy of the country. This country pursues one of the most stable economies in Post-Soviet Europe with balanced inflation and smaller number of unemployment. They spread their economical operations in various sectors including motor vehicles, IT, Engineering, Electronics, Machinery, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Metallurgy and so on. Thus, having a dream career within these sectors and in other areas is very much possible due to their steady economic situation.

Communication is another important issue that I would consider while choosing a place to live in. Regarding the transport system, my observation is that the Czech Republic offers one of the best transport systems compared to other countries in Europe. Bus, Tram and Underground within the city maintain perfect timetables. Mobile app for this timetable works terrific including fast updating changing of any regular system. They also have the densest railway networks in Europe and very reliable intercity bus and train services, both private and state.
One of the vital issues of life is the health care system, in which area the Czech Republic is marvellous. They provide free medical care to all the Czech citizens, permanent residents and foreigners working for a local company through compulsory contributions to an approved Czech health insurance company. While having excellent medical education institutions, Czech has many good doctors and well-trained nurses. Their emergency services are also appreciable.

The next consideration would be the most powerful weapon of life that is Education. A highly impressive education system is established across the country. Other than preschool all the education including elementary school, secondary school, and post-secondary school are free of charge. Charles University, Masaryk University, BUT and many other universities are here for remarkable higher education and research. Heavily subsidized high-quality education system ensures superior future citizens of the Czech Republic.
The Czech Republic also offers a good package of unemployment and maternity benefits. As I am passing through the experience of being a new mom recently, I found vital support from the state on this amazing journey. After the maternity leave a parent can enjoy four years of parental leave with payment. If you want to enjoy these benefits after five years of living in the Czech Republic, you can apply for permanent residency and after ten years of living, you can apply for the citizenship. If you live here with a student visa the required time for you will be doubled.

Finally, I would add that the country situated in the heart of Europe has an admirable geographical, historical, and cultural posture. If you are a nature lover there is plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy hiking, biking or however you want to have your leisure. The summer here is full of life with nature and culture including a traditional dance, music, and street food. While the winter here is as well entertaining with skiing, skating and traditional Christmas. Consequently, if you stay here you will get to know that no wonder why the country is the 11th most peaceful according to the Global peace index. Surely a very peaceful, calm, and relaxed life you can relish in the Czech Republic.Date: 02. December 2020 Student ambassador: Risha Rufaqua
