Piezoelectric materials and their applications

CEITEC VUT-DS209AAk. rok: 2014/2015

This PhD course is focused on the study of piezoelectric ceramic materials and their functional application. The course will initially help to the student to understand the importance of the piezoelectric ceramic materials and to the wide range of the applications where they can be used. The second important part of this program will discuss the processing and manufacturing principles for the wide range of the applications. This course will also include the characterisation of the mechanical and electrical properties of piezoelectric ceramics and the importance of understanding the various techniques that are used. Thus the successful student should be able to prepare, process and characterise piezoelectric ceramic materials and discuss their applications.
