Students will gain knowledge and skills from the area of Data Science and Business Intelligence  enabling effective business analysis and transformation of source data into information usable in managerial decision-making, including the subsequent interpretation (presentation) of results.

Osnovy výuky

1. Architecture of organizational data - business, application, data / information, technology, business and solutions. Influences between individual layers.
2. Data principles - data structures, data categories, usability in BA tasks.
3. Unstructured data, Big Data, Specific data sources.
4. Principles of analytical thinking - identification of problems, requirements, business needs, understanding of business.
5. Principles of analytical thinking - sources and approaches to solutions, presentation of solutions.
6. Business management by area - the purpose and content of the various areas of management, principles of corporate performance management, relationship between management areas and their impact on BA requirements.
7. The essence of business metrics (indicators and their corresponding dimensions) and their use in management areas.
8. Data Management.
9. Preparation of pilot analytical application on selected topic - banks, insurance companies, industry, energy.
10. Implementation of a pilot analytical application in an environment chosen by the student (eg Power BI, Power Pivot).
