This course assumes prior knowledge of microeconomics and macroeconomics at the bachelor level.

Pravidla hodnocení a ukončení předmětu

Grades will be based on problem sets and written pair assignment and its presentation (20%), essay (20%), final exam (60%). The final exam will be closed book and will be comprehensive.
Nutná účast na výuce a prostudování literatury, na níž je předmet vystaven. Kontrola je v kompetenci vyučujícího.

Učební cíle

a) To provide students a knowledge and understanding of the governance and business policies of the European Union,
b) To describe students an international business context, in order to further and understanding of the European business environment
c) To show students the impact of EU policies on the European business environment and on corporate strategies developed in response to these policies.
a) Dispute about the free movement of goods and services, labour, and capital (Schengen Agreement and the Economic and Monetary Union)
b) Discus the economic relationship between EU and the US, Japan, China
c) Evaluate how EU policies affecting business operations in Europe,
d) Explain the developments of economic integration in Europe (the Treaty of Rome and the Maastricht Treaty)
