The project aims to improve scientific cooperation between the Brno University of Technology (VUT), especially AdMaS research centre, and the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA), which should lead to the preparation of large international projects in the Horizon 2020 program, , Water JPI, EEA grants, LIFE+, etc. in the field of water management. At present, research organizations in the Czech Republic are not very successful in submitting of application or obtaining of financial support in frame of large international programs such as H2020, frequent failures are the lack of cohesion with partner institutions or poorly oriented in the applicant environment. NIVA is a leading research institute for freshwater and seawater in Norway and it is a top scientific institution that actively participates in many international projects. The key activities of this bilateral cooperation are mutual working visits focused on setting up a framework for the preparations of the joined applications for the H2020 program and the call 02-2016-2017 CIRC-Water in the framework of the circular economy, in particular. In addition, through implementation of this action following outcomes are expected: strengthening relations with emphasis on long-term cooperation, students and researchers exchange plans, joined research proposals and scientific publications facilitating transfer of knowledge in the field of water research.
