The project focuses on research and development in the area of technologies for hydrogen mobility with the main emphasis on hydrogen fueling infrastructure. The R&D activities include transport, compression, processing and storage of hydrogen within the hydrogen fueling infrastructure and the associated issues including but not limited to: utilization of renewable energy, energy-saving measures and heat/energy recovery options, particulate contamination of hydrogen, degradation of material properties in contact with hydrogen, noise and vibration, sealing of static and movable connections in hydrogen fueling systems, and energetic and economic optimization of hydrogen refueling stations.
