O projektu

Building materials contain always some moisture in their structure, which depends on the properties and openness of the pore system. Based on the properties of the surrounding environment, materials can absorb moisture into their structure or evaporate it into the surrounding environment. An environment with a relative humidity of 40-60% is suitable for human health, which, is often very difficult to achieve in a passive way on construction sites. The subject of the project is therefore the study of the hygroaccumulation effect of natural materials based on clay minerals with natural fillers and relationship between the microstructure of these materials and sorption sensitivity, especially in area of humidity of 40-60% (at +23 °C). Furthermore, determining the relationship of these materials with active elements of greenery inside buildings (green walls) and possible regulation of the indoor microclimate of buildings to achieve a stable and healthy environment that will help strengthen human immunity and reduce the risk of various types of respiratory diseases (including COVID 19).
