O projektu

Low-dimensional lead halide perovskites (LHPs) are promising nanomaterials due to their exceptional optoelectronic properties, especially in the field of optical quantum technologies. At room temperature, they exhibit robust single-photon emission and strong exciton resonances that can be controlled by an external electric field or charge injection. In this project we will fabricate, characterize, modify and optimize nanostructures of the fully inorganic LHP CsPbX3 (X=Cl, Br, I). The goal is to investigate the dynamics of single-photon centers and exciton resonances tunability in the visible spectrum using time-resolved optical techniques with resolution below the spatial diffraction limit. We will use the investigated optical processes to develop highly efficient tunable optical metasurfaces with applications to optical quantum technologies. This will advance the current state of art not only in materials science, but also in the field of novel semiconductors and their applications in optical quantum technologies.
