Originální abstrakt
The computational modelling of stress strain states in blood vessels is not yet able to give realistic results because of the too complex structure and properties of soft tissues. Finite element models created in the last few years in our institute tried to comprehend the most significant properties of the arterial tissue in macroscopic approach. After previous models describing stress and strain distribution in an intact artery and then in a geometric simple lapped anastomosis, we succeeded in creating a model of standard connection (anastomosis). Naturally, the model is rather simplified and it should be improved in future. Nevertheless, it could then contribute to avoiding postsurgical complications e.g. in anastomoses of arteries with natural or artificial vascular grafts by comparative analysis of their various types. A FE model for evaluation of stress and strain states in an anastomosis of two identical arteries is presented.
