Originální abstrakt
Magnesium alloys have low density, relatively high specific strength, dimensional stability and recyclability, therefore they have great potential especially for structural applications. Magnesium and its alloys also have many undesirable characteristics. Among the most dominant is a very small corrosion resistance, and therefore it is necessary to treat these alloys by coatings that would protect them from it. Conversion coatings are very promising coatings, that are currently produced conventionally, for example by dipping magnesium or its alloys in hydrofluoric acid. Fluoride conversion layer was prepared in melt of sodium tetrafluoroborate Na[BF4] in the our previous research . The result of preparation procedure by Na[BF4] was extremely resistant coating, but in the process of preparing there are unfortunately several technological inconveniences: high temperature, the question of purity of starting materials, the presence of melt and so on. To eliminate these problems it is necessary to understand the mechanism of the process of formation of the coating and this is the aim of this work .
