Nowadays world of nuclear power is full of large nuclear power plants with high power output. In our nuclear dreams, we can imagine small reactors that will probably be used in the future. There is another way how to think about nuclear energy radioisotope energy. This kind of nuclear energy is used in special cases, where reliability and long lifetime are needed. Radioisotope Power Sources (RPS) are used as autonomous sources of heat or electric energy in remote locations with no wired grid.
