Using of Digital Signe in the Industry

This article describes practical using of digital sign and certificate authority (CA) in an industrial automation. We selected TrustPort® PKI SDK (product firm AEC). Technological system similar to pharmacy or food plant we simulate in the laboratory Rockwell Automation on DCI TU Brno. In the SCADA program RSView32 we create visual interface for some type of users (for example laboratory and control technician). Physical analog and digital inputs and outputs are created by programmable logic controller ControlLogix5000. All users have smart card with private key and certificate from CA. SCADA program read information about user during enrolment to the application or digital signing of important information. Before that users have to write PIN for his authenticity. Common SCADA programs include digital sign function, but without smart card implementation. Our ActiveX components allow easily use in the all program.
