Joint sealing in facades of buildings is a technologically very complicated process that cannot be solved without connection to other constructions. To ensure proper functionality of the joint it is necessary to use a suitable sealant. The core idea of this experiment was general conviction that the more expensive material or product is used the better properties it should demonstrate. For presented experimental measurements only polyurethane sealants that are intended for usage in exterior were selected. The selection of tested sealants was based on previous experiences as well as on some previous laboratory experiments. The performed experiments involved verification of adhesive and cohesive sealant properties to the selected substrate. Even though the obtained data demonstrate that high quality sealants were selected, certain differences between cheap and expensive test specimens had appeared.
