Mezinárodní urbanistická konference se věnuje aktuálním trendům v urbanismu a udržitelnému rozvoji měst. Setkání pedagogů a účastníků výzkumu z fakult architektury z Prahy, Brna, Bratislavy a Liberce, z rakouského prostředí pak z TU Graz a DU Krems má nejen společenské poslání, ale především má za cíl vytvořit vzájemnou diskuzní platformu. Konference je zaměřena především na implementaci teorie současných přístupů v plánování měst do studia na fakultách architektury. Výměnou informací a názorů urbanistů - pedagogů a výzkumných pracovníků reprezentujících pozvané fakulty se získají nejen nové informace z oboru urbanismu, ale i potřebná konfrontace metod výuky předmětů urbanismu na těchto fakultách. Naším záměrem je zlepšení mezinárodní oborové komunikace a také programová spolupráce s odborem strategie Magistrátu Města Brna a jeho komisí Smart City. Konference je první veřejnou prezentací nově nominovaného Ústavu urbanismu na Fakultě architektury VUT v Brně.

International urban Conference is devoted to the current trends in urban planning, urban design and sustainable urban development. A meeting of educators and participants of research of the Faculty of architecture of Prague, Brno, Bratislava and Liberec, from the Austrian environment then from TU Graz and DU Krems has not only social mission, but mainly aims to create a mutual discussion platform. The Conference is mainly focused on the implementation of the theory of contemporary approaches in urban planning to study at faculties of architecture. The exchange of information and opinions urbanists-educators and researchers representing the invited faculty will provide not only new information in the field of urban planning, but also the necessary confrontation methods of teaching subjects of urbanism on these faculties. Our intention is to improve the international industry of communication and also with the Department of strategy program of cooperation of the municipality of the city of Brno and its Smart City Commission. The Conference is the first public presentation of the newly appointed by the Institute of Urban design at the Faculty of architecture , BUT.
