Urbanistická struktura větších a plošně rozlehlejších měst, velkoměst a jejich aglomerací, překryla strukturu původní krajiny. Vznikla městská krajina, ve které převládají umělé složky, jako je zástavba či infrastruktura, často zcela bez vegetace. Vhodným způsobem, jak zeleň integrovat zpět do zastavěného prostředí, je aplikovat ji na obálkách budov např. návrhem vegetačních fasád. Článek se zabývá analýzou typů zelených fasád a jejich působením na obálku konstrukcí. Dále studuje základní aspekty působící na energetickou bilanci budov, přínos pro okolní zástavbu, estetiku a celkové působení na lidské faktory. Tato analýza je podkladem pro výzkum konstrukcí zelených fasád s různorodým porostem a jejich vlivu na vnitřní klima z hlediska tepelně - vlhkostních a akustických vlastností.

Urban structure of larger towns, cities and their agglomeration, overlaid structure of the original landscape. Created urban landscapes, where predominate artificial components, such as buildings or other infrastructure, are often completely without vegetation. The appropriate way to integrate the greening back to the built environment, is to apply vegetation covers on building envelope, e.g. vegetated façades. The article analyses the type of green facades and their effect on the envelope structures. The paper studies fundamental aspects of acting on the energy balance, the building benefits for the surrounding urban buildings and the aesthetic effect on the human factors. This analysis is the basis for research of green facades structures with varied vegetation and their effect on the indoor climate in terms of hydrothermal and acoustic properties.
