Originální abstrakt

The long-term monitoring of the rock wall situated between the White water ponore and a significant road in the region of the Moravian karst, Czech Republic started at the end of the 19th century. In the vicinity there are many caves in Devonian limestone. Several rock falls originated due to karstification mostly triggered both by heavy rains, by frost action and water erosion. Within the framework of recent site investigation the long-term measurement of vertical displacements of the road above the wall is carried twice a year by means of accurate level control at special measuring marks.
