A paper is focused on the analysis of thermal design related errors of assemblies for constructing sites (ACS) discovered during the temperature rise tests. The well-designed ACS must pass through several tests before it is placed to the market. The temperature rise test is one of the most important tests. Wrong thermal design of ACS could cause overheating. Overheating causes electric resistance rise, higher stress of insulation materials, materials damages or in worse cases injury of people handling with devices. A paper contains practical design examples of parts of assemblies for constructing sites. The main part of work is devoted to the temperature rise tests of poorly designed ACS. In the paper there are also discussed possible causes of overheating.
