Results of reports of forensic engineering are intended primarily for the use of courts. This chapter deals with forensic engineering in traffic with the specialization in road accidents. While analyzing road accidents the system covering human aspect, the vehicle and surrounding conditions is usually considered. The origin and progress of a road traffic accident can be analyzed on the base of left traces, final positions of the vehicles and bodies after the accident, extent and way of the damages, injuries of the traffic participants, technically acceptable testimonies, and the inspection of the place of the accident. The mutual correspondence of the vehicles and bodies’ damage, the way and place of the collision, and their technical plausibility, are evaluated together. The calculations of movements of the vehicles are carried on the principle of physical laws. The good knowledge of kinematics and dynamics is necessary.
