The article deals with a critical literature research focused on the topic of human capital and social performance in the digital age in the context of the global Covid-19 pandemic. Given the current situation, this is a very current topic, and the results may be further analyzed in the future based on the authors' ongoing research. The article provides an overview of the impact of digital technologies as a tool to ensure connectivity of workers in the pandemic of coronavirus. The research includes an analysis of potentially relevant sources with a focus on their quality using the Primo database, enabling the search for information sources not only within the Brno University of Technology, but also full-fledged databases (Web of Science, Statistics, etc.). The results of the study show that organizations have been forced to accelerate digital development to ensure the connectivity of workers, and at the same time the study demonstrates the importance of work-life balance for workers who have been forced to work from home. The absence of personal interaction of employees is balanced by the benefits in the form of flexibility that working from home brings. The change in working conditions, specifically the distance form of working from home, as a result of a global pandemic is perceived positively by most workers, who consider it a useful benefit. The results contribute to the ongoing debate on the impact of digital technologies for work-life balance in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
