New material strategy improves the outcome in terms of wound bed mechanical and biological protection. Collagen allows cells proliferation within structure, that acts as functional dermal layer. GK cover provides like-skin protection with resistivity to bacterial and enzymatic degradation. Its non-adherent property makes it replaceable multiply times if needed. High water uptake capacity of CMC creates moisture through the wound with possible nutrient throughput. GK has shown healing and antibacterial properties as pulled out the wound exudates. Material is evaluated with question of biocompatibility.
