Originální abstrakt
This article deals with the topic of the shielding effect of electrodes in the design of capacitance sensors. The main focus of the article is the phenomenon, which occurs when placing shielding electrodes between planar capacitor electrodes. This phenomenon naturally occurs when the multi-electrode setup is being used. Such setup is used in electronic capacitance tomography (ECT). The first part of the article briefly describes the theoretical attributes of a planar capacitor. Then the model of the multi-electrode system is explained. Subsequently, the experiment during which the phenomenon was observed, is being described. The real measurement is then compared to the simulation of the equal setup. Results, implications, and possible explanations are being discussed in the conclusion.
