Publikace byla vydána u příležitosti uzavření architektonické soutěže na přestavbu bývalé střední školy v Ústí nad Labem na Transformační centrum Ústeckého kraje. Částečně plní roli katalogu soutěžních návrhů, které obsahuje všechny. Nástavbou jsou rozhovory s oceněnými architektkami a architekty a také porotkyněmi a porotci soutěže, u kterých rovněž představuje jejich relevantní projekty. Hlavním cílem publikace pak bylo závěrečným textem na pozadí reálné soutěže popsat možnosti procesů výběru architektonických děl.

Anglický abstrakt

The publication was published on the occasion of the conclusion of the architectural competition for the reconstruction of the former secondary school in Ústí nad Labem into the Transformation Centre of the Ústí Region. It partially fulfils the role of a catalogue of the competition proposals, which includes all. It is supplemented by interviews with the award-winning architects as well as the competition jurors, for whom it also presents their relevant projects. The main aim of the publication was then to describe the possibilities of the processes of selecting architectural works by means of a concluding text against the background of a real competition.
