Many biomechanics solutions are done using 3D FEM. For this reason it is necessary to have 3D FEM model of a tissue. Creating 3D FEM models from CT data can be done by one of the following two methods. The first method is based on vectorisation of tissues boundary by the CT data. Planar cross section curves are formed and imported to FEM system. There is made a 3D-vector model of the tissue by the curves and spline surfaces. Finally using FEM system tools we make FEM model of the tissue from its 3D vector model. The second method is based on making 3D FEM model of the tissue directly from the CT data. This article deals especially with this second method. There are enclosed also some results as an example, FEM models of skull, pelvis, jaw, etc.
