Originální abstrakt

The paper deals with approximate description of radiation transfer in electric arc plasma. The first order of the method of spherical harmonics (P1-approximation) has been used as the way to solve the equation of radiation transfer. Calculation has been performed for air plasma at the atmospheric pressure, and for various plasma radii . Isothermal plasma in temperature range (1000, 30000) K, and plasma with given temperature profile have been considered. To simplify the calculation, the complicated frequency dependence of absorption coefficients has been handled by means of various averaging methods. Planck and Rosseland mean values have been determined for different splitting of the frequency interval. Calculated radiation characteristics (radiation flux, divergence of radiation flux) have been compared with results obtained by the method of partial characteristics and the method of net emission coefficient.
