This paper gives an overview and comparison of available semi-probabilistic safety formats for non-linear finite element analysis (NLFEA). Methods were applied on shear strength design of prestressed concrete girder and results were compared in terms of computational requirements. Design values determined by stochastic methods are very close, except the ECoV method, which does not meet the safety requirements. The most efficient method for determination of shear strength design value was ECoV modified by Schlune et al. Findings presented herein might be useful for practical design of structures using NLFEA.
