Heavy metal contamination of a soil is a significant problem that we face nowadays. In this study, Cannabis sativa was grown in cadmium contaminated soil. The content of cadmium in soil was 10 mg/kg. Plants were grown for 1, 2 and 4 weeks, in contaminated soil as well as control soil without contaminants. LIBS was used to demonstrate the spatial distribution of cadmium in plants.
