Originální abstrakt
The optical emission spectra of abnormal glow and DBD discharges were studied at atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature. The used nitrogen-methane mixtures (0.5-2.5 % of methane) are corresponding to the composition of Saturn's moon Titan atmosphere. Both gases had purity better than 99.999 % and the whole system was evacuated before measurement to suppress oxygen traces. Optical emission spectra were taken in the dependence of applied power and gas mixture composition. Nitrogen, C2 and CN radical spectra as well as atomic lines of hydrogen and carbon were identified in the case of abnormal glow discharge. Only nitrogen second positive spectra were recorded in the case of DBD due to lower transparency of the system as well as due to lower applied power. The rotational and vibrational temperatures were obtained in both discharge configurations for different species.
