Originální abstrakt
A wireless ad hoc network is a collection of mobile nodes that can dynamically self-organize into arbitrary network topologies. In order to facilitate communication within the network, routing protocols are used to discover routes between nodes. The primary goal of ad hoc network routing protocols is to correctly and effectively establish a route between a pair of nodes. Route establishment should be done with minimum bandwidth consumption and delay. The simulation and comparison of routing protocols is important before their implementation into a real network. This paper presents performance comparison of two ad hoc routing protocols - Ad Hoc On Demand Distance Vector (AODV) and Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR). These protocols were implemented and analysed in the OPNETModeler simulation environment. The simulation results and the final evaluation are presented at the end of this paper.
