Originální abstrakt
The paper deals with two modern mathematical methods: a method that uses differential equations with a lag to model continuous systems and algebraic methods based on the theory of polynomials to model discrete linear systems. As an analytical solution to the equations in question on cannot be found, numerical approaches are necessary. The paper investigates the qualitative properties of numeric solutions. The modern methods used to control discrete systems are based on the theory of polynomials and polynomial matrices. As polynomials do not form a field bur only a ring, other rules than those for real numbers must be used for calculation. In the case of polynomial matrices, the situation is even more complex and therefore we will focus on their investigation.
