Originální abstrakt
Humic acids participate in the transport of both beneficial and harmful species. Well-known are their interactions with metal ions or pesticides. Transport processes, including diffusion, are therefore important for understanding the complex behavior of natural systems and the role of their constituents. The diffusion experiments in humic hydrogels provide valuable findings on reactivity of humic matrices, especially their immobilization ability for toxic metals. The aim of this work was the study of the influence of the content of carboxylic groups of humic acids on the interactions towards copper(II) ions proceeding in their transport through humic materials. The results showed that diffusion coefficients of the ions decreases, if a part of carboxylic groups is methylated. The lower COOH contents influence strongly the concentration gradient in humic matrials which is related to driving force of diffusion.
